I started my love affair with clay shortly after I gave birth to our twin boys (bumping our family up to a total of 7). My husband gifted me an old pottery kick-wheel. It was an absolute beast, and I loved it. It gave me a tactile way to center myself, and doubled as both an artistic outlet and therapy. It changed my life.
In 2018 M7 Studio was born. A nod to my tribe, and our constant creative endeavors. It’s an ever evolving dream that has been warmly fostered by each of us, in different ways.
Now, nearly 11 years since I started, with thousands of pieces of pottery under my belt, I’m even more in love with all that clay has to offer. Pottery is more than a functional art-form. It’s a daily centering practice, both for the artist and the art collector.
